I began with analogue photography, but like many others in the 1980s, I experimented with disposable cameras. In addition, my brother was a serious photographer, so I avoided getting in his way. One day, when I asked him to create a short film about my professional creative endeavours, he informed me that making films about my kind was not customary and not for the likes of me ... That day, I went into a Jessops or similar store and purchased a Canon 5D Mark II and about four lenses. I had no idea what I was doing; I just started making films, and from there I have made 100s of small funky films, as a side thing to my career... until recently seeing Hasselblad XPAN II ... I had no thoughts of analogue film.... but something in that camera switched on a light and since, ive been starting to buy digital, and analogue film as hobbies, learning from the ground up ... which is why I am a total novice - and posting my weekly progression here --- BOKEION is my name, and Im just at the early teenager stages of photography. I know .. not much technical, other than I really enjoy evrything to do with film .... (also I did have cameras in the early 2000s when I was out clubbing, and taking pictures of party days, and fun) .. apart from that .. its been NOTHING ... till recent cluster explosion of colours, lenses, learning books and a lens itch that is very very relentless.. Im getting to know photography from day one - and I love it - just wish it were a bit cheaper. Much warmth, love, and happiness to all - no ego just an ecclectric eccentric ditching electric for emuslion and chemical fixer..
