I welcome you to a showcase of how I see, feel, and perceive the real world and all of its fascinating intricacies. I hope that this page at least serves as a useful tool in doing so. My favorite subjects to explore are focused around the natural and cultural world: botany and plant diversity, geology, anthropology, prehistoric rock art, and landscapes. The biodiversity around us possesses innumerable facets to explore, be it sheer beauty, natural history, or need for conservation. If I had to best categorize myself among photographers, I would say that I am a biophilic conservation photographer. I am a proud Alabama native currently working as an Ecologist in Pennsylvania, USA.

Any photos are available for use by permission only. My photos are not, under any circumstance, available for use in artificial intelligence training (including generative AI). I ask very kindly that you respect that. If you would like to inquire about photo usage, please send me a message to get in touch. I do my best to check here regularly. Alternatively, I recommend messaging me on Instagram at the same username, @bogyawn, if you desire a faster response. A reminder that my photos are protected under copyright law and it is a given that any use comes with obtaining permission. Again, my photos are available for use, but by permission only. I don't bite.

“It was during my enchanted days of travel that the idea came to me, which, through the years, has come into my thoughts again and again and always happily—the idea that geology is the music of the earth.”

― Hans Cloos, Conversation with the Earth
