So you want to know a bit about me, huh? Well, okay, I guess I can tell you something...

My name is Bastien Bochmann and I first saw the light of this world on September 6th in 1989 - meaning I'm currently 21 years old.

I'm a native German living in the quiet town of Bedburg, located just 50kms west of Cologne.

I started with photography back in July 2007 - using only a noname compact point 'n shoot. Switched to a Canon Powershot A720IS in december of the same year.

At the start of May 2009 I finally bought a DSLR. Having had good experiences with my previous Canon point 'n shoot and having not really liked the other cameras I tried out in the shop, I went with a Canon EOS 450D / Digital Rebel XSI along with a 18-55mm IS kit lens and my obession with photography only grew from then on.

My main field of interest in photography is automotive photography since I've been a big car nut for as long as I remember.

Lately I've been trying to branch out a bit and more varying subjects. Especially after I recently stumbled upon the wonderful world of old manual lenses. They're really fun to shoot with and in my opinion feel way more natural than the modern lenses - at least the ones I've tried so far which admittedly are only in the lower price range.
