The spring migration across the Gulf of America has been quite a show. We were able to spend a few days at Peveto Woods Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Holly Beach, Louisiana. Posted a few photos from that trip.

The fall migration is getting ready to start and my wife and I are heading to the gulf coast and hopefully will be able to find a number of great locations to photograph the birds heading south.

7/2/24 Just received news my Canon RF 200-800mm lens will be shipped the first of August 2024. I ordered it in February. Appears the new Canon lens is very popular as there is 7-month delay on shipping.

3/18/24 Traded my Canon 90D and Canon EF 100-400 lens for a Canon EOS R5 and Canon RF100-500mm lens and RF 1.4x Extender. WOW!!! What a difference. This Canon EOS R5 is smarter than some individuals I know.

I’m a consulting electrical engineer in the oil and gas industry and spend a lot of time on production facilities in the gulf coast. On each trip down south I spend a few extra days tromping through the swamps photographing the fabulous wildlife.
