The click addiction happened back in the '80s when I found myself in Antarctica for a year. As a diving (underwater) researcher for Scripps Institute of Oceanography I had a great opportunity to photo document both below the surface and above. Most all of my shots were taken with an Olympus OM1 or Nikonos IV-A for the underwater shots. Full darkroom facilities allowed me to learn the ins and outs of Ektochrome and Back and White develpment and printing. Kind of a lost art but it taught me the basics.

 

Now I have the pleasure of reliving that year, as it will take me that long to convert to digital.

 

I have been recently inspired to update fully into the digital format from a few if you modern pros out there on Flickr (you know who you are).

 

As the scans come in and get cleaned up I will be posting. Each photo has a story that can be told on request.
