Hi! Pretty new here, more pictures are coming. This is me:

When I was about 12 years old I bought my first camera, a Praktica TL1000 if I remember correctly. When becoming a teen I got other interests and forgot about photography.

28 years later I suddenly got an idea one morning (July this year) when I woke up: I want to take up photography again! Three hours later I had a Canon EOS 450 in my hand.

The reason for my new born interest in photography was all the incredible pictures I was looking at on this site.

I feel I really want to learn how to take interesting and high class pictures. It'll take some time, I just have basic knowledge. But with the inspiration I get from all the pictures here, my new camera, and perhaps a good book on the subject, I hope to be able to take some good pictures.

My favorite photo subjects are children (always something happening, and a picture of a child can never be boring) water in any form and pictures of the sky with dark clouds. Any combinations of these subjects are even better! :)

When looking at others pictures I like all kind, of people, places, nature and so on.

English is not my native language, so sorry for the bad English.

Non of my real world friends have this interest (but they like seeing my pictures here), so I would be really glad if you comment and/or add me as a contact.

About new contacts

As I said first in this (all to long) presentation I love getting new contacts. The more people that see my pictures the more fun it is.

Lots of my pictures will be friends only. I don't yet have a system for who gets a friend and who gets just a contact, but if you add me as a friend I'll probably do the same. Also, if you ask to I'll mark you as friend.

Note: If you don't have any pictures of your own you will not get the friend status (if there isn't any special reason of course). But you are still welcome to add as contact.

Pictures with 640x480 (and even 800x600) becomes *very* small on a large screen with high resolution. If that small I think some of the pictures gratefulness is lost. Looking at that small pictures is like listening to music on a very low volume. You can see/hear what it is but you miss all the great details.

All that said, of course I can still love your pictures in small res!
