We are an older married couple. He takes most of the photos, but both are usually involved in the situations being photographed. She is a reluctant model.

I have been taking photos for 50+ years. I started with a second hand Rolliecord medium format camera, but graduated to a Nikon Nikkormat 35mm in the 70's. I now use a Canon Rebel XTI and am learning to use its many features. The more I use the seim-automatic modes, the more I realize the value of manual operation. I do basic editing using the software provided by Canon and am starting to use Lightroom for better basic editing.

Most of the photos that are here are here because friends asked me to put them where they could see them. So, they mostly don't represent what is on my mind or my favorite pictures. Maybe some day I will have time to add what interests me...

Nov 2011 Update: So it has happened. All of the photos I have added in 2011 are those I wanted to add. As you can see from my photostream, we are interested in water, boating, and traveling. And I am spending more time with photography.

Jan 2015 Update: I now have a Canon EOS 70D. I upgraded to this because it has a better auto-focus system.
