The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE in 1993 in memory of her husband, England's 1966 World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore OBE. Bobby tragically died at the age of just 51 of bowel cancer - the UK's second highest cancer killer. 44 people lose their lives to bowel cancer in the UK alone each day. The Bobby Moore Fund works to raise awareness of bowel cancer, and to raise money for vital research into this terrible disease.
