A retired widower with more to do, hobby-wise, than I have time for. Avid reader and movie-watcher. People always ask what I like to photograph best and I can never answer that. Whatever is in front of my camera at the time is what it boils down to. When I get a digital camera in my hand I'm out of control. They're an invention equivalent in importance to the wheel.

I've met so many great people on flickr since I joined many years ago - I can't imagine not being a flickr-ite. Flickr rocks!

In July 2019 I upgraded my gear to the Pentax K-1 Mark ii with the Pentax 28 - 105mm lens and am as impressed as ever, maybe more so.

On January 13, 2021, I took delivery of a Leica Q2 Monochrom as an addition to my active camera-ware. I've often wished for a B&W camera like in the olden days of film and have always wanted a Leica. After finding a cache of unredeemed U.S. Savings Bonds I had the means to satisfy both desires.
