Bend or Break was formed in Early 2008 by bassist Chris Marrone in Boston, MA. After a brief stint in Boston, Chris returned to Greenwich, CT and formed the original line-up of the Bend or Break. He first got longtime friend, Pete Cornell, to play guitar and bring his progressive musical thinking into the process.

Bend or Break came out of the gates hard. They released a self-titled debut EP in July 2009, and then hit local clubs and venues to promote their record. Without much experience or guidance Bend or Break got a little taste of success. They were able to book weekly shows all over southern CT and New York City, and eventually raised enough money to get back into the studio.

In the beginning of 2010 Bend or Break started recording what will end up being their first full length album, entitled Viewing Room. With new drummer, Ryan Sasloe, and vocalist, Garrett Tegano, Bend or Break looks to expand the sound of their self-titled EP. Early opinions point to this record having a thicker and more polished sound. Look for more intricate rhythms and creative song writing as the band takes you on a sonic journey that’s taken them the last year to complete. With the help of engineers, Andy Gomez and Richie Corsello, and the hospitality of Carriage House and Deepwave studios, Bend or Break expects to release Viewing Room to the public in early 2011. Until then continue to look for Bend or Break in a venue near you as they prime themselves for a spring 2011 national tour.
