I grew up in a house with a father who worked for Kodak and a mother who used to, so from the time I could walk I was holding a camera and taking pictures. At the time I did not realize how lucky I was to have every camera known to man and literally hundreds of rolls of every type of film Kodak made just sitting in the basement. It allowed me to grab a camera and just take hundreds of pictures and experiment as much as I wanted. (There was also a dark room with all the free chemicals and paper anyone could want in the house). Today with the digital cameras everyone can experiment and with all the apps and cameras on everything you own there are tons of cool things happening, but back then it was not the case.

Through experimentation I was able to find my passion and my niche, which was Landscape/Seascape/Cityscape and bokeh (depth of field) photography. And as time passed the quality and maturity of the work grew. My father gave me access to some of the most famous and experienced photographers of the day and they passed on their considerable knowledge to. However after college it was time for a career in Federal Government IT sales. While the camera never stopped shooting, the 9-5 took over almost completely.

It was not until about 8 years ago when my brother Tim took up photography and joined Flickr and the like, that I found my way back in a serious way. My brother suffers from progressive MS, and at a time it was a struggle to find ways to communicate with him ......
