Blue Valley High School is one of five high schools in the Blue Valley Unified School District. It holds the distinction of being the first high school in the district. The Blue Valley School system is recognized nationally as having a robust academic curriculum whereby students can excel and achieve their dreams. "Education beyond expectations" is the aptly named motto of the district.

For student athletes at Blue Valley High, they are treated to a number of sports where their participation is encouraged and supported. Numerous sports ranging from Girl's Basketball to Swimming, are highly competitive and successful. The athletes are expected to excel both in the classroom and on their playing field.

Blue Valley High School Tiger Baseball has been one of the top high school baseball programs not only in the state of Kansas but in the midwestern US as well. The program is comprised of four teams totaling approximately 60 players.

"Baseball at Blue Valley High School revolves around the development of work habits, learning to function as a as a team player and developing excellent citizenship. These three things are the cornerstones of our program. We believe that if these objectives are met then we will have outstanding players capable of competing at a high level and being productive members of society for the rest of their lives."
