I have always lived on the water and always loved to create art! My childhood home was on Conanicut Island, with Narragansett Bay in my backyard. I am an artist and oceanographer. My day job is studying whale bioacoustics (really! google scholar me "Jessica Ward marine mammal"). I love the ocean - the colors, sounds and marine life - and incorporate the feel of the sea into my jewelry, photography, and watercolor paintings. I have a B.S in Ocean Engineering and M.S. in Biological Oceanography.
