Blue Comet MC is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts with a clubhouse located in Skippack, PA. The group began in 1918 with 13 riders from Lansdale, PA, who used to ride to Point Pleasant, PA, along the Delaware north of New Hope. There, they would gather at the Black Cat bar, which today is known as Apple Jacks. They called themselves the Black Cats after the bar, and designed a Black Cat logo, a small version of which all Blue Comet members wear as a tribute to them. The group grew through the years, and in 1937 a decision was made to incorporate as an AMA club. The name was changed to Blue Comet MC, after the famous Blue Comet train of the era. In 1950 they bought some farmland in Skippack, where the club is located today.
