Hi - I'm John, co-founder and part of the 53A Models (model railway specialists) of Hull retail team.

A railway enthusiast (according to my mum) since I was able to stand up in my cot and overlook the railway station at Normanton in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

I've been actively photographing trains since the late 1970s, and am always on the look out to buy collections of railway photographs (negatives or slides) to save them for posterity, and currently have in excess of 50,000 images some of which I'll share freely with other enthusiasts.

Other passions include motorcycling (have BMW bikes in the garage) and my recently acquired motorhome. My favourite location - The Yorkshire Dales.
