Blank Media was formed in November 2006 to promote the creative practices of emerging artists. We aim to give the opportunity to creative people who may not usually get the chance to show work and enable these people to have a future within the arts. This includes all age ranges, creating a platform for them to build upon their practices and enable their work to evolve.

We look to create collaborations and links to a range of different groups within the community and welcome any new members, whether they are based locally, nationally or internationally. Blank Media aims to reach out to new and different audiences, including those that do not usually attend arts exhibitions or events.

We enjoy creating innovative events, which challenge the audience’s perceptions of the arts and creativity. Blank Media Presents… is a monthly live audio / visual event, promoting bands, performers, musicians and visual artists, attracting a wide spectrum of audiences through the varied styles and themes that we present.

As well as this we also hold exhibitions throughout the year, which has included, blank expression, held in Manchester in July 2007, Blank Media Film Screenings, part of Axis Festival 08 in Stoke-on-Trent in April 2008 and She’s Lost Control, part of Chorlton Arts Festival 08 in May 2008.

Blank Media is a self-funded non-profit voluntary organisation, relying upon fundraising events and exhibitions.
