Photography is special to me because it forces me to slow down and appreciate the subtleties of day-to-day life. Beauty is everywhere, and it takes the right time, place, vision, and a whole lot of luck to be able to capture the perfect shot. I have a background in film, but am relatively new to photography and am having a blast learning new techniques, exploring different settings, and capturing increasingly emotion-evoking pictures.
