A man's work is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened.

Hi!

My name is Anugrah Adams and i used to live in Keshavpuram, New Delhi. Now shifted to Indirapuram. I love taking photos of the things around me and the places i visit.

I'm an analog purist, but i've just started to get into the swim of things with my shiny s6500fd. I like to shoot RAW, but i dont 'tweak' my images, something to do with my analog sensibilities and my hatred for lossy compression schemes.

My philosophy is "once you've done something, live with it".

UPDATE: As of November 2009 I donated my S6500fd to my cousin sis. I hope it will introduce her to an interesting new hobby. Plus she didn't have a working camera. I personally started to hate the infinite depth of field and non-existent bokeh on all but macro shots. It might have proved passable with landscapes but I've been jinxed with my trips ever since buying it :( . Lugging it daily was a chore. I much prefer my oldie Canon with the fixed prime.

I mean no disrespect to those who reprocess or 'play' with images. Some of the results can be truly breathtaking. But then, that isnt me. Although i do admit i have been known to reprocess horrific scans of my own analog film photos. My flickr stream isn't and probably wont be a testament to the power of photoshop.

lawl, I never knew there was a 'testimonials' section on flickr! blackrat is a second coming of the christ, and the anti-christ. Mutually inclusive. He has a knack of freezing some of the most beautiful moments, and a great aesthetic sense. He has an awesome SLR, which he's yet to name; and the newly added Fuji 6500fd only adds more to his lethal kit. His picture are real - you believe in them. They reflect the soul of the person or the landscape that he's interacting with. Love it. And absolutely hate it when he becomes distant to the art, or when he's busy clicking his social network in hundreds - if not thousands - of frames.
