I'm an aeronautical engineer, licensed pilot, licensed aircraft mechanic and former Air Force flight engineer. Not a “rocket scientist” but did work as an advanced cruise missile jet engine senior design engineer. Things I've done include designing, building and flying an ultralight airplane, and designing and building several recumbent bikes (2 patents).

Blackbird Bikes is part of Blackbird Designs inc., which is my company for engineering services, 3D CAD design and product development. The main product of Blackbird Bikes is a Quadribent 2 seat side-by-side human powered recumbent vehicle. Over 900 units sold across the US and internationally.

I live in Burnsville, Minnesota in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, married 41 years with 2.0 children, 1 dog and 1 cat. 'Good old Charley Brown' is half Chow (great watch dog) and half Golden Retriever (great people dog). He rides on the Quad with me all the time and gets all the attention.
