During my childhood days, while everyone around me was attracted to toys, I was enchanted to camera for its fascinating mechanism. This fascination for camera proved to be my best companion in the future. I got my first camera when I finished my college, a Fujifilm 5600s. The journey of my amateur photography began with it. Earlier, capturing pictures was only a hobby for me. Initially it was limited to capturing natural elements as usual for a hobby. Gradually I started to think about photography exquisitely and started gathering knowledge. I was determined that I have to touch the summit in this field. I realized that photography can be a career option for me. Photography became my only contemplation. As usual it took some time to manage the acceptance of my family about this career. I didn’t quit clicking and capturing and in this course, one day I met my first success when one of my photos got selected in IIUPE (International Inter University Photo Exhibition), where photographs from 23 countries were exhibited. Next achievement came shortly. I achieved the second prize in ‘Click and Caption Photo Contest’ organized by Save the Children, UK. That very contest can be claimed as the biggest turning point of my photography career. I upgraded my gear with the prize money. After the success, I noticed that my family has started appreciating my job. They came forward to prop me up in full throttle. I was keeping the idea of taking photography professionally in my head. I started wedding photography in Khulna. It was a new concept in Khulna. After knowing about the prospects of wedding photography, I started preparing myself for it. I made sure that I have the best equipments for this kind of works. To boost up my skills I used to do unpaid photography in weddings and other ceremonies at the earlier stage. When my works got acclaimed by people (thanks to Facebook and internet), more wedding assignments began to come at my door. After that I never had to look back. Besides the wedding photography, I carried on my personal photography. Other than wedding photography the criteria I prefer is street photography.

My photographs have been featured in many newspapers including The Daily Star, Daily Jugantor etc. Besides my photographs have been exhibited in several national and international photography competitions and exhibitions. I have taken some initiatives regarding photography such as founding a photography club at my university named Northern University Bangladesh Photography Club (NUBPC). In the sector of professional photography, I have my own firm named Purple Bird. We have several branches in major cities around the country including its HQ in Khulna. There are two sister concerns of Purple Bird named, Photography Institute of Purple Bird where we teach photography and Purple Bird Production, where we take care of production related stuffs. All these concerns have created work opportunities for creative people all around the country. The team members are working in a professional manner to uphold photography as their livelihood. Besides, I am the Ambassador for Khulna and Joint Secretary at Wedding and Portrait Photographers of Bangladesh (WPPB), an international organization that is working with the photography enthusiasts in Bangladesh. Photography is the thing that I breath. It is a major part of my life without what I can not even think of a day. It bestows upon a chance of spreading positivity for me and I want to keep doing it relentlessly.
