I took and developed lots of pictures in High School with yearbook. Developed my own black and white pictures for several years that I took using a Minolta XG-1. I still have it.

College and law school ate up too much time to keep taking and developing pictures. Then digital photography and the years in the point and shoot wilderness came along. I watched the development of DSLRs from a distance until summer 2007 when we had a trip to Colorado planned. I bought a Nikon D40 with the two kit lenses and I have been falling in love with photography all over again.

I currently own a D40 with an 18-70mm and 55-200mm and a SB400. My kids use it. It is fun to share photography with them and see the joy they get when they nail a shot. My son took this one: www.flickr.com/photos/squash13/2507479436/ and this one: www.flickr.com/photos/squash13/2415407326/

I use a Nikon D300, a Nikon F5, a Nikon F4e with two SB800s, nikkor 17-35mm f2.8 AF-S, nikkor 50mm f1.4, nikkor 50mm f1.8, nikkor 300mm f4, nikkor 105mm f2.8 (non-VR), and a nikkor 80-200 f2.8 AF D.

I have recently added the Nikon F5 and Nikon F4e to the collection and I am thinking about getting some equipment to develop my own black and white pictures again.

I love seeing other people's pictures and learning techniques and tricks from the group discussions. I am always in the market to learn as much as my brain can soak up.

I like taking candid face pictures, flower shots, and bug shots.
