There are those moments - moments of unique and pure beauty, of disturbing energy, of power and restless imediacy. In his photographs, Björn tries to capture exactly those moments, and by using 35mm-film as well as the means of an analogue darkroom, he not only creates neutral representations of certain points in time, but images that play with the relationship between the visual and its impermanence. Apart from confronting the viewer with vibrant and distinctive appearances on the surface, Björn’s pictures therefore also bear the hidden, sometines distorted and uncanny traces of the past.
