WHAT IS BISS LIST?
The BISS List started in 2003 as an email newsletter listing shows for all the diehard live music fans in the bay area. We are heavy on funk and jam but we love it all! The weekly email newsletter still accounts for quarter of our readers. However, with the immense growth of social networking sites, we have been able to grow exponentially over the last few years. BISS List reaches approx 10,000 followers & subscribers every week through Email, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram and our web site. (www.bisslist.com) We provide a completely biased list only listing the shows that we and our fans like. We also give away tickets to about 80 percent of our shows from the Fillmore, Warfield, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Independent, Great American Music Hall, Red Devil Lounge, Boom Boom Room, Yoshi's, Slim's, Regency, New Parish, and Brick & Mortar.
FREE SERVICES
Our calendar listings are free but are chosen by our team based on what we like and what our subscribers like. Send an email to biss@bisslist.com with all the show info in text format. Please include as much of the following as possible: Day, Date, Band Name, Venue, City, State, Web site, Set time, Door time, ticket price. Please let us know if you want to give away tickets. If so, let us know how many pairs, and who to contact within your organization as well as the deadline for when you need the names. Those shows on our list that have giveaways will get extra visibility both on the weekly email as well as on our social media sites. We send the email list out on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week so we ask that all submissions are in by Friday of the week before.
Highlighted shows
Each week, we will highlight those shows that we, the staff and crew, are going to. These shows will get a “shout out” in the intro section of the newsletter and on the website. If we are going to these shows, we will also commonly share these shows by posting in excess to our followers on all our social avenues.
PAID Services
*Foot Street team – BISS crew will put out handbills in targeted neighborhoods & hand to hand at shows around SF (10 cents per handbill or 7 cents if over 1000 handbills) – Postering also available at 50 cents per poster. **All subject to team availability
*Banner Ad on web site & weekly email ($50 per week for 250x360 or $25 for a 250x180) – space is limited to give all shows & vendors high visibility
*Digital Street Team – online street team posts on Facebook, twitter, etc ($20 per week)
