I've been studying the art for fifteen years or so, but now my hobby of shoemaking has taken over from my real job hairdressing, which I''ve been doing for over thirty years. The past seven years Ive been studying millinery to go with my footwear. I have these photos of my nanna's all dressed up wearing the matching shoe and hat, with maybe a bag and glove ensemble, going out on a date, the photos inspired me to find amazing peices of fur, leather, tapastry, antique textile and then make a fantastic shoe with a matching hat like no other as there is no other its a bespoke peice, a one of, a sculpture.
