Hi, I am Tom Friedel, programmer, bird photographer, and occasional guide in Colombia. I maintain the web site BirdPhotos.com, and the 'field guide' BirdsOfColombia.org.

I also created a free Android and iPhone app, Bird Data - Colombia, a field guide for the birds of Colombia with maps, sounds and photos. Additional apps exist for a few nearby countries, and the app Bird Data has the complete global database without maps.

More recently I worked with Jurgen Beckers and Pablo Florez to make an 'app' version of the 2013 book 'Birdwatching in Colombia'. This app is updated several times a year.
