i don't eat, or wear, animals. i am an animal rights activist, graphic designer, writer, and musician. i used to take a lot of photos, but i became enamored with music and graphic design, and stopped carrying a camera with me so much. but as the winter carries on into the spring, i'm hoping to capture more moments.

i firmly believe in moments; small ghosts that we see, hear and are able to touch, if only with our minds. it encompasses everything i do, from my spontaneous music records, to my writing, to my photographs.

i hope to share my ghosts with you.

if you wear, buy or support the fur industry, please take a moment to read what follows. it is not ok to wear the skin of another animal, whether it is the tiniest bit of trim on your new winter coat, a fur bobble on your favourite new purse or boots or just a bit of fuzzyness on the inside of your gloves. millions of animals a year are savagely and routinely beaten, bludgeoned, drowned, anally eletrocuted, crushed, suffocated and skinned alive for their skins - which hey! they actually need. animals like minks, rabbits and chinchillas are kept in tiny wire cages stacked on top of each other, sometimes so many in one cage they can barely move. they live miserable lives in their own excrement and suffer from neurological disorders caused by stress before their skulls are crushed, their nervous systems destroyed with crude mixtures of nicotine, bleach and water, or until they are inhumanely and often incorrectly anally electrocuted, often leaving them still conscious while their skin is taken from them. animals trapped for their fur suffer for days sometimes before they are "saved" by furriers; they often try to chew the trapped limb off, or attempt to rip it off their body. not only this, commonly referred to as "trash animals", deer, dogs, cats and other animals become trapped in the traps and they are left to die. in china, millions of dogs and cats are sold as rabbit, fox and mink every year. they are stolen from their parents, kidnapped off the streets, and stuffed into tiny rectangular cages, with as many as 30 cats to a cage and 10 dogs to a cage. their limbs are crushed as the cages are piled onto each other, and since there are NO LAWS TO PROTECT THE WELFARE OF ANIMALS RAISED(OR STOLEN) FOR THEIR FUR IN CHINA, they are often skinned alive after being stomped on, beaten with sticks, their necks snapped, their legs broken or stood upon in order to suffocate them. this year, the canadian government gave the go-ahead for hunters to slaughter over 300,000 baby harp seals. the baby seals, whose moms are often nearby barking in feable attempts to protect their young, who aren't even old enough to know how to swim yet, are chased by men on snowmobiles and bludgeoned to death with clubs. those who have witnessed the seal hunts in canada and norway have reported hearing the pups crys and barks even after they are thrown onto the piles of dead, and still alive and suffering, baby seals. one report indicated that a baby harp seal was still very much alive, as the hunter began to rip the seal's skin from it's body. when you wear fur, you are supporting one of the most hideous and cruellest industries man has concocted.

do NOT buy or wear ANY fur.

Fur / Is / Dead. (now, repeat that phrase several times until you understand what fur is.)
