I've been a field biologist for over near to 40 years now--doing environmental assessments, field reviews, etc.--Developing and approving water quality grants for the State of Tennessee and working as the Stormwater Coordinator for the City of Franklin, TN and city of Chattanooga for over 10 years. I was born and raised, and my roots are still in Red Boiling Springs, where many of my pictures are still made and the rest of my pics are infused with its DNA!!

Low impact development and stream bank protection and restoration are special interests of mine along with sustainable development (energy and water quality efficient) you could say the environment is my vocation and avocation!

I began taking video of the family Christmas for several years---then started out taking and developing B&W film and pics. It was really neat to see the images come up in the developing tray---but digital cameras with photo editing software has sorta stolen the heart and soul of the developing trays and red lights. It is sort of a shame.
