I'm a retired school teacher who has been learning to paint. I selected soft pastels as my medium because I love its immediacy and vibrant colors. I try to practice every day. I especially enjoy painting older people and attempt to capture the character and emotion displayed in those incredible faces.

Some very kind and wonderful people have allowed me to practice my painting with their photos, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
