I live in a village called Sandleheath on the Hampshire and Dorset border. To the west are the Downs of Cranborne Chase and to the east, the New Forest.

After my beloved wife, the love of my life is my camera. I use a OM Systems OM5 with a variety of lenses. I also have a Nikon DSLR. Some of my shots on Flickr go back to the 1950s and my photographic archive holds thousands of images.

Wildife is my chosen subject these days, but I also love landscapes and architecture. In the sixties I shot a lot of railway action during the final years of steam traction, and I have published several books. Take a look.

Travel is also one of my passions and I have been very lucky to be brought up in New Zealand after my family emigrated from England in 1952.

I hope you will enjoy my photos.

Nigel has lived and loved through his camera all his life. From Steam Locos in the 60's to Wildlife in the new millennium. His macro insects taken with patience producing sharp images with amazing detail. Through his lens we are able to glimpse a part of Nige's world. It may be birds and wildlife or the beloved West Country that he has made his home. A kind and considerate man. Thank you for sharing your unique images with the greater world of Flickr. You are indeed an artist and dear friend with a beautiful soul.
