Over 1,340,000 hits and climbing...

This isn't a description of my self but some unsolicited advice to those who read it: back up your files now! If your computer crashes and your files (read - your photos) aren't backed up, you've lost them forever. Take it from one who's motherboard cooked and has to go buy a new computer. Luckily, I got all my photos back, but now I have seen the light and have invested in an external hard-drive. And am I good about backing up? No...

The photos: a lot I've taken while out biking. It's really all about being at the right place at the right time and I find that the bike gets me places with the camera that I may not get to otherwise. I find that a camera bag strapped on the handlebars is a critical piece of biking equipment.

The camera: some of the scanned stuff is from my old Pentax SLR. The digitals (I'm on a Canon G16 now) are not all SLR shots. I find the G16 easier to log around than my SLR and its lenses. There are distinct advantages to using a fairly compact and unobtrusive camera. For my SLR, I have a Canon EOS REBEL T4i.
