I was an avid photographer in high school, with my own black and white darkroom (still have it, don't use it). Between high school and 2003, when I got my first decent digital (Nikon Coolpix 5700), I did very little photography. The Coolpix was Ok, but limiting overall.

December 2006 I got a Nikon D80, and my interest was rekindled. Two years, and several lenses later I acquired a Nikon D700. Now I pursue photography every chance I get.

My passion is taking wildlife shots. It's the only time I'll sit for hours-- waiting on the right bird to show up, or stalking some predator. Lately I am photographing people more and more. I hate posed shots, so I spend my time either at the end of a long lens so as no to be intrusive, or totally intrusive up close with a flash nearby.

I earn a living doing Computer support (Windows, Macintosh & Unix/Linux) and web site development. If you have a camera or a Mac, and you're in the Charleston, SC area, look me up.
