I've always had an interest, to some degree, in high-quality photography. Only now in my thirties am I actually pursuing this interest with the fervor that seems to have been buried for so many years.

Over time, look for this space to fill and evolve as my own technical and creative skill as a photographer evolve. Praise and critique are always welcome and appreciated. My Flickr stream, it should be noted, will contain mostly outtakes and shots that are merely exercises, drafts, or not meant to be sold or used professionally. About My Equipment

I shoot with a Canon EOS 40D body. My usual glass is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II prime, but occasionally you'll see me shooting with either the EF 28–135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM or the Sigma 10–20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM super-wide zoom [not anymore... had to sell that one]. I also use the Canon Speedlite 580EX II flash atop the Stroboframe Quick Flip 350 flash bracket. I use and endorse filters from both the Hoya Pro1 Digital line and Heliopan.

I use both PNY and SanDisk CF cards, all at 133× or 266× speed, with a slight preference for the PNY brand because they are more affordable without sacrificing quality. I always shoot in RAW format, usually on 4GB cards.

My tripod is a Giotto's MT-9370 with a MH-1301 ball head and MH-645 camera mount.

Post-Processing

My photos are post-processed and organized in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Photoshop CS3 on a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Billy has a great eye for photography. Check out the creamy bokeh shots and the wonderful images he can do with a kit lens even!
