Am very much an amateur, but enjoy getting out and shooting. Live in Oakland and am always up for a road trip - Yosemite, Monterey, Pt. Reyes. Any suggestions?

Have a Nikon D7500 and a 70-200 lens, plus a few others, so pulling weeds and the rest of the yard work will have to wait.

Although I am amazed at the talent exhibited on flickr, what also impresses me is how eloquent and well-spoken people are in expressing what their photos mean to them and what they are trying to convey. I must admit that I am a bit envious of such talented folks. I browse the photos and am touched by the art, but it's the words that move my heart and make my eyes water. A perfect example is TGKW's photos of his great-grandmother. The photos in and of themselves are art. What he says about the subject of his art touches the soul. I am so pleased to be able to experience both on flickr.
