Photography is for me the search for beauty - the beauty of symmetry, the beauty of simplicity, the beauty of imperfection as asymmetry, weathered wood, pealing color, rusty surface ...

I worked and lived four years in China - during this time I learned to see with my camera - towards outside and inside.

Why I am here in the Flickr space?

I want to

- share with you my pictures

- get feedback

- get inspiration from others

- find the underlying symmetry of this space

My contacts have high priority. There is commitment from my side and some expectation of reciprocity. No bean counting, more the strive for connectedness.

Anke has a great eye for those little details that are so easy to overlook and for relations not so obvious at first sight. She's a very talented composer of space, like the architects of Zen gardens. Some of her pictures blow you away immediately, while others are made of a subtle beauty to be discovered. You never know what she'll come up with next time, but you can be shure it's nothing you expected. And Anke is a wonderful friend I wouldn't want to miss on Flickr anymore. I'm always glad to find she visited me and I enjoy reading her amiable and humerous comments.
