I started taking pictures when I finally got a digital camera in 2001. I got it primarily for vacation pictures. I noticed that as I was taking pictures of the family and places we are visiting I would be leaning over a railing or lying down to get the picture at a different angle. It was at that time that I realized how fun photography can be!

I continued taking vacation pictures for the next few years, often looking for that different look of the places we visit. In the fall of 2007 I bought 2 broken Nikon D70 bodies on eBay. I have been a technologist my entire life so I decided to try to piece those together to make one good one. Well, it worked! I then bought a basic lens and started shooting with my "Frankenstein'd" DSLR.

I am still learning everyday so I more than welcome any constructive criticism of any of my photos in my stream. I feel that comments as well as viewing all the amazing photos on Flickr will make me become a better photographer.
