I have very little formal training in art or design (even less in photography) but have been told that I have a good eye and a way with negative space (not so much with photography maybe). But this hasn't stopped me from dabbling in drawing, a brief infatuation with oil painting and a lifelong love of pen & ink. The dabbling eventually (if not indirectly) led me to a brief stint as a web designer. I worked for an online music store, CD Universe which is still in business here in Connecticut, priceline.com (yes the one with Shatner; no, I never got to meet him), and finally with a now defunct home services site. I have had an online presence sporadically since 1997 and have done the online journal thing (pre-blogging), designed typefaces, played around with an online `zine. I am solidly online now, but without the cool domain names and such.

I take photographs with an old Pentax Optio 33LF, which is decent but certainly nothing to brag about. I would really, really love a digital SLR camera but I live on a budget and goodies like that just aren't an option.
