I enjoy looking at things from a slightly different angle to others, and am having fun spotting odd things for pictures. I do like order and precision, and so enjoy neat and tidy geometric photographs. I love vivid colour, and black and white atmosphere. I also like watching how places change over time. I am engineer (acoustics consultant), primarily involved in the building industry. I love buildings and structure, and rather like seeing the "workings" of a building.
My family controls my vantage point, and how long I have to set anything up. I can't get all arty about it - it's about having a nice picture, that reminds me of a nice day/place/event. I've some nice potrait pictures, but I won't post them here.
I'm just starting out with a DSLR ( A Canon 450) - I'm overwhelmed by the amount of control it gives, and loving some of the results. But I've learnt that it's all about composition, and only a bit about settings! (I guess that's the first sentence of lesson 1.)
