The Bigal River Conservation Project (BRCP) main objective consists in protecting the Biodiversity of an area of lower elevation old growth rainforest (Bigal River Biological Reserve), located on the lower eastern slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes. The Reserve’ s altitude ranges between 1 640 and 3250 feet above sea level, and located right in front Sumaco National Park.
