I have always been passionate about taking photographs, sports and landscapes in particular. Many years ago I was mainly involved with freelance sports photography, track and field and rugby in particular. I had my own darkroom and all - I can still remember the smell of the fixer!! I purchased a Canon PowerShot A710is compact in 2007 and really started to rekindle my passion for the search for the perfect shot - this will of course take more than a lifetime to find. Due to my changing health conditions I am now less mobile and therefore needed to reassess my photographic needs and be more realistic. I have completely exchanged my excellent, but heavy, Canon DSLR system. I now have a Panasonic Lumix GH5 mirrorless camera with Lumix 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 and Lumix 7-14mm f/4 zoom lenses. I decided to go for a bridge camera and bought a Leica V-Lux (typ 114) superzoom. I have 3 compacts including a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX100, a Panasonic DMC-TZ and a super little Sony DSC-WX350. I also use my Samsung Galaxy S22 mobile phone's camera. I now possess a much more realistic and portable system that has completely reignited my passion for photography.
