Drag to set position!
I've been a graphic artist for over 15 years, an Art Director for 7 of those. Designed advertising for Women's & Children's fashions, Bridal and just too much to list. Quit the industry when I fell in love, became a bride, then a wife, then a mother.
Growing up, my mother was the "picture lady", everyone has one in their family.... that was my mom. Always had a camera, herding us into a group, to snap the picture for a memory. She LOVED taking pictures of family and has quite an extensive library of photos, a record of EVERYTHING! I love looking through her albums. Seeing our life together, remembering things I had forgotten, seeing the baby doll lying next to me that I just couldn't sleep without, the smile on my face as I chased my brother around our new home. Memories.
Once I had a child of my own, I realized the significance. I bought my first digital camera and became my mother. On so many levels. I now realize, what it is, to want to sacrifice all for someone and try to keepsake as much as I can of the most wonderful time of my life. I wish I could record every second of my children's lives so I never miss anything. And I've come damn near close!
I enjoy seeing the beautiful gestures of love between parent and child, siblings, and family, it always awes me. This kiss on the forehead, the holding of a hand, the inspection of a boo-boo, the wipe of a tear, the soothing hug, the high-five and all the warm, happy smiles.... I want to remember it all.
