I live in India and am not in politics.

Both the Ramayana and the Mahabharata are referred to as "History" in Hindu theology. It means both epics are based on real characters and events.

As Robert Herrick has said 'To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time' :

"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,

Old Time is still a-flying:

And that same flower that smiles to-day,

To-morrow may be dying."
