I've been playing with cameras for as long as I can remember and first fell in love with photography many, many years ago when my dad taught me how to shoot B&W with his old Leica Model IIIf rangefinder camera.

I now own that old Leica, and if it wasn't so easy and fun to use my Nikon D7000 and D780 DSLRs, my Sony RX100vii, and my iPhone (when I don't happen to have one of the other two cameras handy), I'm sure I'd be using the Leica as my go-to camera!

I especially enjoy nature and travel photography, but have been working to expand my skills and interests and have found participating in Flickr groups to be particularly enjoyable. Each year, I try to complete at least a few Flickr group challenges. For 2025, I'm doing "125 Pictures in 2024", "100x: The 2025 Edition", and "52 Weeks: The 2025 Edition". Almost decided to do another 365 project after taking a break for several years, but decided at the last minute that I really didn't need do that! In past years, I've done several 365 projects, but giving that a break for a while. Maybe will do it again someday.
