I have been quilting for about ten years and feel like an afternoon spent with pretty fabric is a great way to spend the day. I love modern fabrics and some of my favorite designers/fabric companies are Anna Marie Horner, Denise Schmidt, Heather Bailey, Joel Dewberry, Lotta Jansdotter, Art Gallery Fabrics, Free Spirit/Westminster, and Dear Stella. And of course, solid fabrics in a rainbow of colors (both bright and subdued) are always a favorite. I love scraps -the way just a little bit of a special fabric can have such an impact on a quilt is so fun to see develop. A dream fabric line I missed out on is Good Folks by AMH-crossing fingers for a reprint!
