Didn't really like photography until 2002 when I decided I should buy a camera just to take random pictures. I gradually went from the total n00b to doing photography for a living (and loving it). It satisfies my need for artistic expression and my geeky side. The artist in me loves the fact that I imagine a scene and reproduce it in the form of a digital image. My geeky side loves the amount of thought and engineering that can go on behind the camera... lighting, composition, timing, angles... so many variations and no picture is ever totally perfect nor totally wrong.
