I’m a communication and type designer living in Berlin, Germany.

In my professional career as a communication designer I was responsible – amongst other projects – for the signage system of German Rail. I've also designed the signage typefaces for them. Slowly I drifted into primarily designing corporate typefaces. As if that was not enough I was accidentally elected president of German Graphic Designers Association for five years (www.bdg-designer.de) and appointed president of German Designers umbrella organization (www.designertag.de). Currently I am managing font production at Monotype. Well, there you are.

However, this Flickr gallery is not showcasing my design work at all. I am just offering a quick stroll through my professional library. Collecting type specimen is my hobby as you might have realised already.

I also upload pictures I took on events where I have been. And maybe I might upload some type finds every now and then.
