I first got into photography in 1992. I was but a teenager, and had developed a love of skateboarding and a circle of like-minded friends. What I hadn't developed was the talent to match said love of skateboarding, but as I was beginning to simultaneously fall for photography, I saw a great opportunity to marry the two. I began shooting my friends who had actually gotten fairly good at the skateboarding thing, and found where I could really excel - in capturing them in action. That was my thrill.

In the early days of my photography career, I was shooting a fully manual 35 mm SLR camera that had been given to me as a gift...with a catch. I had to learn how to develop the film myself, which I think made a huge impact on my relationship with photography. That intimate experience of watching my images, my art, develop in the dark room and over time only deepened my passion for the art form.

A lot has changed since I first got started in photography. I have broadened my horizons beyond skateboarding to include other sports, as well as street performance, candid moments, and portraiture. No longer developing my own film, I've started to blend my tech-y side with my artistic side and now shoot exclusively digital. After a shoot, I post-process the images to perfection.

What hasn't changed over the years is the sense of joy and accomplishment I get from the challenge of distilling reality down to a single image, and of infusing that image with feeling, emotion, and a sense of intrigue and adventure.

I look forward to the opportunity of sharing my passion with others while simultaneously capturing theirs. If you're interested in my work or the prospect of working together, please contact me. I'm always happy to answer questions and explore new opportunities
