I live in Peru, half the time in Lima, the other half in the town of Satipo. This is one of the greatest cities I've ever had the fortunate favor of knowing and love experiencing more of the town and the rich rainforest around it. I'm a U.S. ex-pat, my wife's family is from Satipo. I love sharing my experiences with everyone, showing people around the phenomenal mysteries that you can only discover in this unique part of the world.
My focus is on Neotropical butterflies, I spend most of my time studying them, reading about them or working with them. Might sound kind of nuts, but I have been so intrigued with the whole concept and world behind Neotropical butterflies that I have to learn more and more about them.
How do they see the world through their eyes?
Why such a deeply rooted relationship with their host plant?
How are they able to adapt so quickly to changing world as well as with the natural and unnatural disturbances around them?
How do they recognize eachother both within a species and outside of it among others?
How does their existence effect the world around them?
All these questions and so many more that are not easy to answer. Either way, that is a bit about me, please feel free to email me or look up several websites.
