Thanks to Mike Wood for the Blockr image.

Edit: 3/28/2008 Let me clear on something, if you ask me to put a picture of mine (And they ARE mine) onto a group where the admin only has web porn on their account, I won't do it.

It's a disservice to the model or subject, to the client, and to myself.

Edit: 9/3/2007 For those who got my card at DragonCon, yes the phone number is wrong. Email me if you need to get in touch.

Edit: 7/24/06 A note to those I friend, who friend me and don't know me.

I have been looking at a lot of pictures here since I started using Flickr. I've seen a some sheer genius (Tetheredtothesun, :Nikola, seventytw0dpi), some plain old point and snaps from friends I've know for years (Rixende, elizfitch, Gossamyrrh), and some that just make me go "Hmm" (Everybody's). All of them make me think about what I do and how I do it. Do I do art? Do I do photojournalism? Do I just randomly film everything that comes by?

The point of this, is that I take inspiration from those I (at the very least) have put on my contact list every day. You make me look at what I do in a new light and sometimes wonder "How the hell did they DO that?" Those I add to the friend or family list have decided that they may have something to show me that they are proud of and don't want spread across the internet, which I respect.

I thank you all.

I was the Director of Photography for Dragon Con in Atlanta for 10 years up until 2007, when I decided to take some time off so I could raise my new son. I'm working on uploading some of my favorite pictures from over the years. If there are any favorites that people are looking for, let me know.

BTW, please don't use these without a credit and not for commercial use or publication. Dragon Con owns the copyrights on them and would, more than likely, be happy to supply you with permission.

Same goes for my personal stuff.

And as far as I go, I'm not a "Pro". I don't make a significant enough part of my income from taking pictures, I just enjoy doing it. Occasionally, I shoot something for commercial purposes (Del Rey, Irish Enterprises, etc), but those are due to my personal contacts, not actively seeking work.

Personally, I work high-end NAS storage systems, which makes me a professional geek.

I shoot people better, mostly women. I guess that it comes from being a raging heterosexual, but I love the female form.

I do nothing special, I just point the camera at them and wait until the moment presents itself.

Oh yes, I have a bunny named Barrister and he is the cutest bunny on the whole intarweb because Mme Mersault says so. And you don't mess with Mme.

BTW, for those who care about age, I'm in my 40's.
