I am a writing, travelling, piano man with a new camera and not afraid to use it. I've embarked on this expedition to better myself culturally around the world and hoping to pick up a few languages along the way. Now in Amsterdam and Germany, I am slowly becoming accustomed to the ways and the sentiments expressed by the Europeans, although somewhat timorous about what I might find in Germany. Some people think I look Danish, others think I look Dutch, but in point of fact I am an American with a British name, although nobody thinks I have an American accent, which comes from my speaking the dialect, so to speak, of the person with whom I am speaking. My ancestory, on the other hand, can be traced back to Germany and Sweden, so I am European in that sense, but have studied the Romance languages of French and Italian and some Latin. Ancient Greek was also a love of mine, and to visit the Greek Isles would be a dream come true. Now focusing, however, on learning German and getting familiarised with that culture.
