Love and live in New Hampshire with my wife, four kids, two dogs... and chickens. I am a "photography enthusiast" who loves to learn how to make photographs. Emphasis on the learning part. I currently have a Nikon D3300 with a kit lens (18-55mm) and a prime lens (50mm/1.8f) which gives me enough to experiment without breaking the bank. (We've got hungry mouths to feed.) I used to be accused of only making photos of landscapes and objects not people- particularly the people in my family. I've been trying to expand my appreciation of portraits and candids. I love to capture moments but also always feel like I could always do it better. Landscapes and objects give me a greater sense of control in creating the image I want. People are unpredictable! And the photograph feels like it never ends up quite the way I want it. But that's why I love photography- there's always room to improve. I almost exclusively put my photos on Flickr because I feel like posting on Facebook and IG was sucking too much out of the moments I was capturing. I love Flickr because I can post and document my journey without feeling like I'm being dragged in to the aspects of social media I don't really like (or at least the parts that bring out the parts of me I don't like).
